Chris has spent over 30 years developing strong partnerships across Las Vegas’ first responder network. Sharing the successful tactical and operational knowledge of police operations immensely improves a community’s response to significant critical incidents.

During his 32-year career in law enforcement, Chris gained extensive experience in creating and reviewing critical policies that impact law enforcement operations.

Decades of leadership at the evolving forefront of police operations and training has Chris uniquely positioned to consult other agencies as they develop toward LVMPD standards, e.g., reality-based training, and search warrant service.

Major Case Protocol (MCP)

In 2018, Chris identified ways to improve investigative response to high-profile crimes that have a significant impact on a community. Improved police practices and programmatic investigative accountability led to the LVMPD Major Case Protocol (MCP) policy. Over 20 major crimes have been solved by the implementation of MCP, thereby bringing closure to serial killings, sexual assault, and domestic violent extremism.

Chris was recently requested to instruct the Clark County Citizens Review Board on proper ways of de-escalating police response on volatile emergency situations as a subject matter expert.

Chris was a certified instructor for LVMPD for almost 25 years. Chris set criteria, developed a curriculum, and led LVMPD’s first Advanced Leadership Development class instruction. This training continues to provide new executive leaders with opportunities to grow important skills to successfully meet the challenges of 21st-century policing. The class also trains individuals on how to become effective leaders during critical incidents. Chris’ expertise and interest embrace the entire community. He has participated in numerous speaking engagements and instructional classes to benefit businesses, community organizations, and government.

Chris obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.
